i'm epwv, and i love gentoo linux and ricing my system.

bio

i run gentoo linux on my personal hardware and enjoy ricing my system to my liking. i like installing linux distros manually, and i keep a small homelab for private projects. the hardest install i've done so far is linux from scratch (lfs), and i like gentoo because everything compiles from source.

hobbies

programming - writing small tools and scripts by hand.
ricing - tuning my system's look and feel until it fits exactly right.
installing linux - doing full manual installs across several distros.
gentoo - compiling everything from source and dialing in use flags.
lfs - linux from scratch, the hardest install i've tackled so far.

currently

using gentoo linux as my daily driver.
ricing and tweaking my setup.
compiling packages from source.
running the homelab.

this site

gentoo.lol is a hand-built static site: plain html, css, and a little javascript, no build tools and no frameworks. it works without cookies and without tracking. i own two domains, gentoo.lol and huhfloppuh.com, and this site lives on the first one.
